Custom Apparel Size Guide
Build an order-ready size chart for performance apparel, fleece and matching sets instead of relying on a generic consumer size label.
Reviewed September 5, 2026

Start with one approved base size, define every point of measurement, then agree the grade rules and garment tolerances in writing. SenLin’s confirmed core performance and fleece ranges are S–5XL; performance polos run M–5XL. Core performance styles use a 1–2 cm garment tolerance and fleece styles use 1–3 cm, while the polo tolerance is confirmed in the quotation and approved chart.
A size name is not a measurement
An S, L or 3XL can differ between brands, markets and silhouettes. A useful tech pack identifies the measuring points, whether the garment is measured flat, and whether elastic areas are recorded relaxed, stretched or both.
Compare the supplier’s sample measurements with the approved chart—not with another brand’s label. Record the sample version and wash condition so later checks use the same method.
- Choose the intended fit: close, regular, relaxed or oversized.
- Approve the base size before grading the full S–5XL range.
- Record top and bottom sizes separately for matching sets.
Confirmed range and tolerances
A tolerance is an acceptance range around the agreed measurement, not permission to change the intended fit. Critical points may need a tighter project-specific limit.
| Product route | Confirmed sizes | Garment tolerance | Buyer must approve |
|---|---|---|---|
| Performance tops, shorts, pants and sets | S–5XL | 1–2 cm | POM chart, base fit and grading |
| Performance polos | M–5XL | Confirm with approved chart | Collar, placket, body and sleeve grading |
| Hoodies, sweatpants and fleece sets | S–5XL | 1–3 cm | Silhouette, shrinkage allowance and grading |
| Mixed-size orders | Supported from MOQ 100+ | Per approved product | Quantity by colour and size |
What to send with an RFQ
If you do not have a finished size chart, identify a reference garment and the changes you want. The sample must still become the written approval standard before bulk production.
- Front and back garment sketch or clear reference photographs.
- Point-of-measurement chart with units and measuring method.
- Target market, wearer profile and intended base layers.
- Quantity by colour and size, including mixed-size set pairings.

How are matching sets sized?
Approve tops and bottoms separately, then record the allowed size pairings and packing method for complete sets.
