Why care depends on the final build

Fibre content matters, but print films, embroidery backing, zippers, drawcords, brushing, dyes and mixed-material panels can change the suitable care route. A conservative instruction copied from another style may still be inaccurate.

Confirm the destination-market fibre and care-label requirements with qualified local advice where necessary.

Useful wash-approval checks

Record the wash method, detergent, temperature, drying method and result so repeat orders can be compared.

• Dimensional change at agreed garment points.
• Shade change, staining and print or transfer appearance.
• Pilling, surface distortion, seam puckering and leg twist.
• Zip, button, drawcord, rib and elastic performance.
• Appearance after the number of cycles relevant to the intended claim.

Write instructions the wearer can follow

Keep the label concise, use recognized symbols where required and avoid making unverified durability claims. If sets contain different fabrics, determine whether each garment needs its own instruction.

Packaging inserts can repeat useful care guidance, but they do not replace required garment labels. Custom labels and packaging are quoted after the wording and artwork are approved.
